I just got off the phone with CitiMortgage.  I have a 3rd party authorization on file and talked with a representative just seven days ago.  Now I am told that, because of a new law, they no longer talk to authorized 3rd parties operating in the state of Georgia.  I was told that they can only talk to the owner.  Has anyone run into this or are the representatives with CitiMortgage just confused?

  • They say they will speak to a third party with a POA
  • What about a limited POA?
  • Just got told the same thing.. crazy

  • I heard this from someone else in GA the other day.

  • Ask them to cite the law and look it up.   I'm not in Georgia, but that seems to make sense.

      • Smitty, I have gone up three levels at CitiMortgage and not one can cite the law or their rationale. I am waiting for the next level of management to return my call.  I have engaged our Broker staff to get to the bottom of this.  I guess CItiMortgage really has "Georgia on their mind" .  :-)
