CitiMortgage Refuses 3rd Party Authorization in State of Georgia

I just got off the phone with CitiMortgage.  I have a 3rd party authorization on file and talked with a representative just seven days ago.  Now I am told that, because of a new law, they no longer talk to authorized 3rd parties operating in the state of Georgia.  I was told that they can only talk to the owner.  Has anyone run into this or are the representatives with CitiMortgage just confused?

Ask them to cite the law and look it up.   I'm not in Georgia, but that seems to make sense.

  • Smitty, I have gone up three levels at CitiMortgage and not one can cite the law or their rationale. I am waiting for the next level of management to return my call.  I have engaged our Broker staff to get to the bottom of this.  I guess CItiMortgage really has "Georgia on their mind" .  :-)

I heard this from someone else in GA the other day.

Just got told the same thing.. crazy

What about a limited POA?
They say they will speak to a third party with a POA
