I NEED HELP WITH CHASE . . . I have a 2nd mtg with Chase. A complete SS pkg was submitted over a month ago and I’ve forwarded updated financials as well as the 1st mtg approval. Their file is 100% complete, yet they still have not opened the short sale file. I called again today and was informed that this loan was charged off in April 2012 and is getting ready to be assigned to a new servicer. However, there’s no way to know when it will be transferred, who it will be transferred to, and I was told that nothing can be done until the transfer happens. They have not opened the file despite receipt of all docs because they can no longer work the loan.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions of what my next step should be?

Hi Melanie, if you haven't tried yet, I'd try and push this through Chase's Escalations Team. If you can, try and find out who the investor is as well and start contacting them. Chase has a fiduciary responsibility to its investors. Here's a couple of other numbers I've collected while doing fun short sales like this, hope they help!
