Just took a Short Sale Listing with one loan being serviced by Carrington. Looked it up, joined the group, but it appears there isn't much activity? Any advice superstars that have dealt with these guys?? Thank you!

Negotiator named Victor was very difficult to deal with. He demanded $10k + over the appraised value. One escalation to the top and file was approved same day for the appraised value, not the ridiculous $10k+ . So not too bad to work with them.

I've done one Carrington too. Not sure why there aren't a lot of Carrington loans out my way, but the deal got approved. Not the BEST negotiator by any means, but I can tell you they were generous with closing costs which helped the FHA buyer out tremendously.
Done one deal with Carrington Mortgage, about a year ago. They are the Servicer for the underlying hedge funds, I think. Just one deal, of course. In my case, I think they purchased a deeply discounted portfolio from Citibank. They simply wanted to liquidate on good terms. My negotiator was wonderful to deal with. The seller has a good experience, fair and reasonable.
