My husband and I after several months finally received word from our agent that BOA countered and we accepted. Here is the thing. Our realtor did not like the 3rd party person handling it so BOA decided not to have a moderator.   It has been well over a month and still no word. Any idea how much longer. WE have been in this from the start which was March of 2012. The listing agent is a real ****** and has this real lackadaisical attitude and does not answer. My attorney is not much better and never answers email or returns calls. I would just like to to get an idea of how much longer since our lease is up in December. Any help on this would be great

Very confusing... what do you mean by "our realtor did not like 3rd party.....BOA decided not to have a moderator" ?  That makes zero sense to me.  Depending on the investor who issues the approval it could take a while.  List agent needs to be proactive here and your agent needs to stay on the list agent to get this approval......

Per my realtor the moderator (3rd party)was asking for us the buyers to have "certain" things paid for immediately that were not required until the end..Like paying for a title search twice. She also said that she didnt like his demeanor and BOA took him off and said that they would not replace the moderator. So we are dealing with just our realtor, the listing agent and the 2 attorneys. And the listing agent like I said does not answer emails, calls, etc.

I am trying to get an idea of how much time is left after a counter offer was accepted.

If a counter offer was accepted with BOA via equator than the negotiator just needs to make sure they have a short sale package that can be submitted to Quality Assurance for Audit. If the file passes audit it will either be submitted to the investor or to upper management if BOA has delegation on the file. Delegated files usually get a response quicker. If the file is with the investor it depends on who the investor is and how backed up they are for a response. It could be a week or two, sometimes more, or sometimes less.
