Hi Short Sale Agents,

I'm feeling stuck with Equator. Their is a sale date for Monday February 14th (Happy Valentines Day, not!)

I have an offer and I've uploaded the 3rd Party Authorization. They have 48 hours to review, and that could be too late to submit the offer and postpone the sale date!

Do you know of anyway to expedite this? OR another way to postpone the sale date?

Thank you,

Kristine

Hi Kristine:

If you have an auction on Monday and you are just uploading the authorization today, you might be in trouble. With Equator, once you upload the authorization they should be able to see it right away. Call and verify that the authorization is in there and then upload the rest of the package right away once they acknowledge they can see it.

Depending on the investor, Bank of America may not be allowed to stop the auction. For example, on Fannie Mae loans being service by B of A we had everything uploaded but the offer which came in 2 weeks prior to the auction. We were told that they would not review the offer. Everything - including the offer - had to be uploaded at least 3 weeks prior to the auction date.We called Fannie, Bank of America, HUD, Congressman, and anybody else we could think of to get them to at least entertain the offer. They wouldn't do it and the property was auctioned as scheduled.

Good luck!
