So, my goal is to obtain a HAFA ss for this client. Some advice I received in here said I could not directly submit to HAFA for BofA.
I went to Equator to "initiate a short sale and below is the message I received.
How do I get this short sale submitted?
Can anyone summarize? Do you have a phone or fax number for BofA
901 - The short sale initiation process could not be completed in Equator because the loan is either a government loan or has an investor who does not participate in a Short Sale program.In order to determine if a loss mitigation option is available please contact our Customer Care Department at 1-866-880-1232 and select option 2.Please inform the Customer Care representative that you are speaking with that you have received this error message when trying to initiate a Short Sale.Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience

Did the borrower purchase their property with a FHA or VA loan? Check the mortgage statement, ask the homeowner, or call customer service at BOA
