I have a Bank of America short sale being handled by REDC for the first. The seller also has a home equity line of credit with Bank of America, and that 2nd needs to have a payoff requested so it can be included in the HUD-1 that gets submitted with the accepted offer on the property.
However, I have REDC saying that the seller needs to request the payoff from the HELOC short sale dept at BofA, but that dept says that the REDC negotiator needs to make that request.
Does anyone know who is right and how I can get this resolved?

TWITTER escalation asap. I went through this with a BOFA, as well. They are supposed to coordinate themselves now, between the two departments. HELOC likes to be the step-brother....
