Has anyone dealt with a VA loan short sale.  The issue is I cannot use the equator system so in having to deal with the agents in the short sale dept, there has been a delay in opening the file. Apparently it is supposed to automatically open after all docs are confirmed, but it didn't.  Its been 2 weeks in waiting for a negotiator and I have just learned that the file was never automatically opened. Now I have to call the home retention dept to have them recommend the short sale so the file can open, but it can still take 5-7 days to get a negotiator and this offer expires on 8/31.  I would like to know if anyone has had success expediting this process.  Who should I speak to, the customer care agents do not have the power to move the process along. Thanks in advance for any info and guidance.

Kim - You can expedite opening the Bank of America VA Compromise Sale by contacting the twitter team. If the "offer" expires on 8/31 - I guarantee you - you're not going to have approval by that date.  Also, this should be a "contract", signed by the seller, not just an offer.  Bank of America has limited negotiators working on VA Compromise Sales. You'll likely need about 60 days for approval after it gets assigned IF you stay on them!

Thanks Wendy.  It is a contract, not an offer sorry about that. I'll contact the twitter team.  Thanks so much.
