AGENT Can somebody please help. I was at what I thought was the very end of a short. The negotiator stated in an equator email that I would have an approval within 48 hours- 7 days the absolute latest. Instead of that happening I was emailed by the negotiator that the short sale was declined and I needed to list it and re market it. The negotiator stated that he understood the buyer backed out? This is non-sense the buyer never backed out!!! I don't know where he received this info!! I have emailed everyone. The team-leader ,negotiator and the VP. Not one response. I have been trying to get an answer on what happened here and no one will call back.

Has this ever happened to anyone?Does anyone have an emergency higher up # of someone who cares at BOA?

  • I agree with Brett. The best thing to do asap is initiate the short sale in equator. Then escalate to BofA through twitter.

I have had this happen several times. Usually we are able to get it back on track quickly. The key is to get BofA to go through the tasks quickly. I've completed all task with the negotiator on the line before. Took about 30 minutes to get an approval.

For TWITTER Do not place LN# or borrower name in the message. Just a brief: 'Need help with a HAFA short sale" will suffice. Make sure to mention short sale. Also, each file should to be a separate tweet. If you have issues with 4 files then send 4 tweets. They will respond very quickly.

    • JUST TO CONFIRM TWITTER IS AMAZING.  DIFFERENT PEOPLE WITH COMMON SENSE AND A DIFFERENT AGENDA.  THEY WILL CONTACT YOU IMMEDIATELY.

  • Diana,

If the short sale was hard declined out of equator you will have no choice but to rework the file. If the file is hard declined the best case scenario is that the file is escalated HARD and that it moves back forward as quickly as possible. Typically we just reach out to our escalations team at BOA who are directly assigned to our company to get to the bottom of issues such as these.
