  • I just received a short sale approval from Seterus.  Faxed third party auth and short sale packet to: 877-649-0743.  I received a call from the assigned BPO agent 48 hours after faxing the documents.  Two days later I was assigned a negotiator and given their e-mail address for communication.  When I sent the negotiator an "introductory e-mail" he responded with my approval letter.  The entire short sale was approved in a week and a half.  I've dealt with several lenders on every side of the spectrum in regards to how they process their short sales and have to say....I wish all my short sales were with this group!  Obviously every file is different, but I have nothing but good things to say about this company on my first transaction with them.

  • I have closed 3 with them .. the first one was last year and was horrible, but the last one I just closed in March 2012...was a breeze.. they've greatly improved and do get approval out within 2weeks.

  • I have done two with them, top notch in my book.  You have to be on the ball becuase they are, but I find them very professional and efficient...of course, thats because I am on the ball.  :)

  • I had a short sale closed with them last year. They were not easy to work, but we did close! One of the main issues was the BPO that came in to high and we almost lost the deal. I did meet the BPO agent at the time of the BPO and I thought we were on the same page, that was a hard lesson learned, he said he was an experienced BPO agent???? My suggestion would be for the BPO agent to have to call you to gain access and hand him comps as we are taught to do, this should be a big help. FYI, I am in California.

If I can be of any help let me know.

    Good Luck

    • Thanks for the great feedback Sandra and Mike.  I will prepare myself for a bumpy ride.....

  • Go to lender info tab and search Seterus and all of there forms etc are posted. You will need notarized LOA to get started with them. I had a deal in process with them and BPO was way out of line and the dispute process was long and tedious and buyer walked and seller wound up doing DIL. Good Luck!
