agent/buyer commission on Indymac short sale

Does Indymac pay out commission to an agent representing himself as the buyer on a Indymac short sale?

I'm purchasing a home, which is an Indymac short sale, and I'm also the agent. Will I get paid the 3% offered by the listing agent?

It is possible since the commission actually gets paid to the broker and not the agent and in your case it gets paid to the listing broker and then to your broker.  It may happen but I would not be counting on it just to be safe

Thanks for your reply, Jeff. I guess my real question should be will Indymac, when they go through the process of approving the offer, allow my commission as a buyer/agent? The listing agent wants to pay me, but she seems to think that Indymac will disapprove of my commission.

NO. Buyer cannot receive any proceeds from sell. Under no circumstances! Are you the buyers agent? If not you are sol.
