I have an agent who is short selling his sisters house...The CitiMortgage Arms Length -when you read it seems no one can be related but CitiMortgage person told me that it was okay if agent and seller were brother/sister...that main concern was buyer and seller not being related.  Any legal opinions on this or experience with it?

  • I would have had someone else list it.  I just read through the ALT form from Citi and it says no relation by "family" - it then lists an area for the agents and buyer and seller to sign.

     

    I would have the person at Citi who told you it was ok put it in writing.  I personally think it COULD be an issue.
