I've been working on this short sale since January. GMAC has a 2nd on the property. The 1st TD said they would allow $3,000 for the 2nd TD settlement. GMAC at 1st had no comments,then they said $5,000. Before escrow was over they wanted $11,750. They stated that they never take less than 30% of the loan amount. Is there any way around this $11,750. I can get $4,000 from the 1st, but no committment on the $11,750. The seller is now no longer in the picture. He has moved on. The 1st has said they will give again give approval for the short sale, but only if the 2nd gives approval 1st. This is in San Bernardino county, California.
