HSBC LOAN SOLD WHILE WAITING FOR APPROVAL EXTENSION

I have a short sale that we were just waiting for an approval extension that was sold to Caliber. The extension was already approved. Does this mean that we have to start all over? It has been a week since we were told the loan was sold, and HSBC stated that they were sending the short sale docs to Caliber, Does anyone know how this works? Is there a way to escalate this?
