Has anyone had success with Fannie including Code Enforcement Liens? (Especially when a Jr. Lien is also involved?) Have a property with huge $6k lien have been told Fannie Will not allow, does not pay this item, suggest structure as buyer needs to pay.

I have stood on my head to explain this lien will not "go away" in foreclosure and continues to incurr intrest penalties.

Any input from the tremendous knowledge on this site, would be appreciated!

Is that the face value, or a negotiated amount?  Usually, in south Fl you can negotiate them out for 10-25%, but After correction, which usually means after the sale, by the buyer.  Someone should be able to give you a "ball park" number.

Which county/city?  Maybe someone here has specific experience.

This is the actual amount, violation has been corrected. However still a lien. Here in St Lucie you can go before the magistrate if you pay the court costs aprx $380. I am familiar with procedures. With this being a short sale, the owners do not have the funds to spend. Basically Buyer would have to address and pay, Which is what Fannie is indicating.
