IRS lien release

Hey gang, I have a short sale approval expiring next week (Wed). The IRS lien release request was submitted back in April, but we still haven't gotten a response. The seller has gone so far as to go to the IRS office in person to try to get this expedited. They assigned the case to some woman who is out of town until Tuesday, and her supervisor won't talk to us. Any ideas?
