Does Wells Fargo allow for electronic signatures - specifically for the buyer???  I just got an offer and am submitting to bank, didn't think eSignatures were allowed, but now can't find any info on that.  Just want to be proactive if I am going to need wet signatures eventually, then I will go ahead and get them.  If I don't need them, don't want to bother the buyer's agent because she is a PAIN!!!  Thanks

The last short sale I did with Wells, electronic signatures were no allowed.  That was about 4-5 mos. ago.  It is possible they have changed their policy.

I've always had terrible experiences with electronic signatures on short sale, and have wondered why? They are more secure than wet signatures.

What kind of short sale is it?  FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, other?

Wells Fargo usually does not allow electronic signatures, even when it is a gov't investor that does. I would recommend getting wet signed docs for all WF paperwork. Chad.

I'm doing a short sale right now with Wells Fargo and no electronic signatures allowed.

I'm currently doing one with Wells (Fannie Mae) and they aren't allowing electronic signatures.

Q: Does Fannie Mae accept electronic signatures on offer documents?
A: The use of electronic signatures is governed by the agreement of the parties to the contract and does not require approval by Fannie Mae.

Thanks for all the responses.  I will work to get wet signature.
