We have an approval for a short sale and need an extension for 4 days; the HOA held us up getting a certification. The negotiator and their supervisor is not responding to my partner's phone calls or emails. we are down to the wire.
Any suggestions from any of you Chase Super Stars??
Thanks so much!!

Fax a letter to the main number, and put in bold large print Urgent, your request, Postponement if there is a sales date.
Put down that you have been unable to get a response from your negotiator etc. Buyers are ready to close; escrow was
delayed, and why. Someone reads these. Your will get a response, or the extension letter will just show up.
Good luck.

Bev,
Thank you so much for your help! We were finally able to get a response from the supervisor and they said that an extension would be given the day after the current approval expires! This has been a nail biting ending. It's amazing what HOA companies can do to add more stress to the process!

Hey Tricia - all the other advice is excellent - but - the extension permission may have to come from the investor (Fannie, Freddie etc) who may or may not be able or be willing to grant it. I had one fc the day before closing and Fannie would not budge on the extension. Good luck with it!
Peggy,
Thank you for taking the time to respond! This loan is not a Fannie or Freddie - thank God! That's a shame you experienced an investor that would not budge.
