Hey Everyone,

I have a USAA HELOC. Our negotiator says they will not forgive any of the debt and want 25% of the balance paid up front with the balance owed over time. Has anyone had any success negotiatoring down for some forgiveness?

Thanks!

Hi Jessica,

USAA is very firm.  I was able to get them 25% from the first and then they gave a 0% loan to my seller for the rest.  Best of luck!

Did they force a commission reduction to 5%?

My seller did not reveal the Short position and the second lien with USAA during the listing period.

He intended to take the note with him.

He still intends to take the loan with him with no forgiveness.

USAA still wants the commission reduced to 5%, and the buyer's agent contracted with the property at a 3% cooperating commission.
