We're in FL. Just went through process for HAFA pre-offer short sale - at tail end of process sellers learned of BOA Enhanced Short Sale Relocation Assistance (5K up to 20K relo assistance) - sellers want to do that instead of 3K HAFA program - I spoke to someone at BOA Customer Care on 10/6/2011, learned sellers are eligible for enhanced short sale assistance, said we don't have to do anything special to get it, that the credit to them just shows up on the HUD-1 at closing.

THEN on 10/22/2011 sellers received mailing from BOA that they are qualified for the HAFA short sale -- were given a list price and told to sign and return the Short Sale Approval form for the HAFA 3K program.

It seemed to me they shouldn't sign it because then they'd only get the 3K and not the enhanced short sale relo assistance package.

I spoke to someone at BOA today who said no, they had to sign off on the Short Sale Approval package because one of the qualifications for getting the enhanced relo assistance was qualifying for HAFA. She said they still would end up getting the enhanced relo assistance package if they signed off on this HAFA short sale approval paperwork.

Has anyone else in FL been thru this yet with BOA? Should I trust this answer? Or by trusting this answer are my sellers screwed out of the enhanced relocation assistance?
