Glad the twitter contact is working for other people too!

I did go ahead and contact BofA_Help on Twitter. Got a call back within about 35 minutes from their Twitter Help group. But just before that I got an e-mail reject message from system e-mail sent to assigned negotiator--said she didn't have e-mail in the system. Yes, you can be rejected for other document reasons, but in this case rejection came from BACI (that's Bank of America India) rep. Twitter Help rep (Sherry) told me that recently there are numerous internal problems because of recent added personnel and new system changes to handle additional HAFA files. My assigned negotiator exists, but message through Equator didn't reach her due to bad link in Equator, and internal technical problems seem to be multiple partically due to these changes. Sherry tried to find the manager at the HAFA group I'm assigned to, but manager was not listed in her reference material. I do have number for that group, but when Equator denied existence of the negotiator, I wanted to hear from the Help Group first. She promised followup today.

I received this reject reason recently on documents, where inadvertantly I had the wrong buyer name on the HUD1

Julia....I went through the same thing. Couldn't figure out why my documents were being rejected. Called the main number, talked to someone who said he thought the documents I sent were fine. They told me to try again.

Reached out to a negotiator who helped me previously. She at least told me that one name was misspelled. They had to close the file and have me resubmit.

CALL...CALL...CALL the generic number first. Don't stop calling until you get resolution. Equator is far from fool-proof. This time around, I had so much more problems. Bank of America Customer Support 866-880-1232.

ESCALATE if you don't get any satisfaction.

I don't rely on the tasks on Equator. I initiate phone calls/emails to follow up. When i saw the name of a supervisor, I emailed that supervisor directly. Seems to work now because I'm getting some headway.

But BOA is STILL one of the WORST.

Anyone have this experience? After completing assigned task in Equator (showing an assigned negotiator also) to upload offer and supporting docs (that's not a 5-minute job), I received a generic message stating all docs were rejected because I was not an assigned agent to the file. I have replied back to negotiator and the System, and am thinking of escalating it to the Twitter BAC Help if no resolution soon. Any suggestions?

Basically, I think it does mean that.  Fannie/Freddie will, within a few months, no longer follow the standard practice of advancing the foreclosure process as a back-up to a performing short-sale.  In principle, this applies to Fannie/Freddie, only.   But, other Investors may well follow the GSEs.  I think that the Banks probably will for their portfolio loans.

Michael   That means then that the Lenders cannot foreclosure if the Short Sale process has started?   I presume there has to be an offer on the table?  This is major!   Lost too many before due to the Lender just closing the file even when we had a Bona Fide offer.  Thanks for sharing the news!!  This is just properties owned by Fannie and Freddie though correct?  Thanks

Wow, that's great Michael. Thanks for posting. I'm going to post the Freddie and Fannie notes in those forums, with credits to you of course. Thanks bro!
