Is there nothing a buyer agent can do to check the status of an Aurora Short Sale offer? Listing agent says, "no word no word" but I want to follow up somehow for my clients.

I do not know of any banks or servicers who will communicate wit the buyer's agent.  However, Aurora has a place on their website where the listing agent can check the status.

You could ask the listing agent to check there.

Sorry, you won't be able to do that as a buyers agent unless the seller gives you permission to do so  But since you don't represent the seller, I don't think he/she will give you the authorization.

Sylvia, I do not know if you were replying to me but as I said, this site is for the listing agent to check. The buyer's agent can ask the listing agent to check on this site. He/she may not be aware of it.

Marcy:   Oh, no, I did not see your reply.  I was just replying to Carrie because her question asked if there is anything a buyer's agent can do to check the status and sounds like she wants to follow up herself for her clients.

Until something changes that allows both agents to be privy to communicating with the Bank, I don't think so.

We have to hope that the Selling Agent is doing their best to be actively communicating with the Bank.  That's their job and that's it.  They have the information to contact then with.  Hoping you have a good repore with the Selling agent.  You know your choices and if you need to move on, then do so.  If the property is worth the wait, then wait you will.
