We submitted our Short Sale Package on July 30th.  We called the Loss Mit department at 866-637-5763  to make sure they got the package, and they told us the only way to find out was to send an email to [email protected].  We sent email(s), but got no response at all.  We went back to the Loss Mit department to try to get some help -- we called the same # we used before, numerous times and every time we were put on hold for 30 minutes, then hung up on.  Today we called a different # 800-344-5015, explained our situation and the guy said the only way was via email and to send another one.  We asked how long does it usually take to get a response after submitting a short sale package.  He said usually 48 hrs, but they're really busy.  We asked to escalate, he said to do that, send an email. We asked what else can we try besides that and he said to call Loss Mit.  We told him we did that already and kept getting hung up on. We asked if there was another solution and he said, "Have a Nice Day",  and HUNG UP.

I wish I was kidding about this.  It's like a Neil Simon play. But this really happened.

Anyone out there have any suggestions?

Strange, I've never been told that we can only communicate via an e-mail address during our work with USBank but then we started working with them back in may and now have a negociator that we're working with directly.

They did loose our paperwork the first time we sent it to them though. Our dealings with them as a seller has not been pleasant at all.
HA!! I love this group! I sent an email to the AVP @ Chase on Monday, with a copy of this post. We got a call from a negotiator THE NEXT DAY!!! She gave us her direct line and email address and actually sounded helpful. Crossing fingers...............
Glad to hear I am not alone with this bank. Numerous fax numbers for Auth. and for pkg. Still nothing after 1 month. Still no auth....I do love this group. I may try the email thing at the end of the week.
looking for the #s for US Bank for authorization and fax in SS package- any help?

The story above is identical to what is happening to us now! We called the same numbers and received the same results. I have now emailed Lisa Miller in Jeff's post lower down and am very hopeful to receive a response of some kind.
Are there any happy endings since October?

Just closed my short with US Bank during the redemption period- negotiated the right to pursue out and went to close!!!

We finally found a number that works and live people who answer!  US Bank continues to ignore me (via the email address they insist agents use to correspond with US Bank regarding short sales), however, they are keeping in regular communication with the sellers, who in turn, forward all to myself. 

 

US Bank promises a 30-day turn-around with regard to short sale approval and we are 15 days in!

 

We are hopeful!
