My basic question is, would OCWEN approve a short sale on a house that has been vacant for 9 years? It was a single family primary residence before the owners defaulted in 2007 and moved out in 2009.…Continue

I wante you all to know how helpful the information about OCWEN here is. I used the numbers and email address for Ron Ferris and within 12 hours of leaving a voice mail message and emailing, I was contacted by someone in the USA and 48 hours later, we were closing. This was after 8 months of pure call center hell. The hold-up on my deal - a long ago refi and subsequent HELOC had left the OCWEN loan in 2nd place and the$9,500 HELOC in 1st. I had to suggest that they file a claim with First Am for the title issue and after that, it was easy. I couldn't have done it without the information here. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Submitted package. They initially lost first email and fax, but finally posted the second fax in their file. I got assigned a Nick Roberts who did a good job and ordered the BPO. I submitted an offer on 11/3 by email-it got lost. I resubmitted on the 9th and 10th. It has not made it into the file.
Now I am assigned a new person C. Martinez-she is no longer working at OCWEN, but the computer and telephone tree don't know this so finding a live body with their horrid telephone answering system has not gotten me anywhere. I finally call Ferris and await a reply. Are there any direct phone numbers with an extension to a supervisor in the short sale department. This property has a scheduled foreclosure date of 11/23 and I am running out of time.

Hello All -
I just received a short sale with Ocwen that is scheduled for foreclosure on 12/7. At this point we dont have a sales contract on the property. I am working on getting an offer however from the letters from other short sales with Ocwen I remember them stating they do not postpone sales. What has been your experience. Is this a waste of time this late in the game. Thanks

Thanks for the information Gunna! I thought this would be a good sign and I was getting close. Hopefully this deal gets done.

Ocwen just had BPO inspection done yesturday for my short sale. I am wondering how long it takes after the BPO is done to deturmine if the offer is accepted? I am sure this is a good sign they inspected the property but wondering how much longer it may take for Ocwen to accept? Your comments are appreciated!

To cut through the phone hell, if you have the 5 digit extension of your negotiator, call the corporate number 1-561-682-8000 and when they ask for the extension, give your negotiator's extension #. Good Kharma!
