My packet was submitted and passed off: email sent to me said negotiator now has your packet and will contact you within 5 business days regarding counteroffer or acceptance.  BPO has been done but no word from the negotiator.  Tried calling the number given to me but thats the general Wells Fargo number.  I was also told I wasn't allowed to speak to negotiator they would contact me.  Now what? anyone have any suggestions?  Your help would is greatly appreciated.

Kim - I think you should give it another week or so. Their "business day" count can be a delay tactic. If after a week, you get no response, ask for an "escalation".
this also happened to us, we put the call in for escalation and they finally called emailed us, the very next morning. Which is this morning :)
Wells told me 3-5 weeks, thanx for the heads up!
Here is my contact no. for WF "phone team." 866-903-1053
Always ask name of phone rep and ID code for documentation purposes.

Negotiator didn't respond to my call to phone team for update on 9/8 (offer submitted 8/30/10). Phone rep. emailed negotiator that date. Called again 9/13 and phone rep. stated she would send another email to negotiator, and said the negotiator had to respond in 72 hours after second request or her supervisor would be notified. I rec'd. email from negotiator next day on 9/14 with all her contact information, status, etc.

Also, ask phone rep. for name of negotiator assigned to your short sale. Emails are usually [email protected]
The fact that my 81 year old seller has failing health doesn't seem to matter. The DIL was requested and thanx to their scheduling they may choose new rules for forclosure. I will try the above phone game AGAIN! Thanx!!!
