Former client called saying he has PCS orders. Purchased in 2008 for $271,000. Refi in June of 2012 for $290,000! I have to say I am sick to see that his refi cost him nearly $40,000. He didn't…Continue

I've heard NOTHING positive about USAA as far as agents attempts to complete short sales. I have a Seller with a $19k HELOC, (started as $25k) so it's relatively small. Has ANYONE completed a short…Continue

Hmmm . . . I am surprised you took the first counter. I've had transactions with USAA in which I've gone through 4 or 5 counters with them. It seems to be the norm. Every time you counter, they come back with something else. It's like they are required to ask you 4 or 5 times if you will pay them more. If you repeatedly reject it, eventually they will agree.
The problem is people give up with them. Don't give up. Just keep submitting a new closing statement over and over until they stop saying no. Don't let USAA badger you. They will say YES. I can't tell you how many I've done this way.
2nd lien USAA 100k- first counter 97k, accepted 36k. 1st now short - HAFA . USAA gets 12k- will NOT accept . Sellers can give 10k they get from the 1st . Is it worth calling the CFPB to get some pressure on USAA? What would you do?
sure. email me at [email protected] and i'll send you the twitter handle!
Can I follow you on Twitter? I could use some education on Tweeting to win short sale approvals!
Funny. I've never used it in my life before two weeks ago. I've now used it on 4 different files and it's helped every time! Have fun with it!
Very useful information Scott! I am now a Tweeter!
Apparently they don't like people on social media telling the public how they abuse clients. They respond immediately and will look behind the scenes to see what the issue is. They will then put you in contact with management. Sometimes getting the right manager on the phone is half the battle.
Awesome tidbit about Twitter! I just went to my playstore to get it! Thanks! So, you find public pressure helps them move along a little more amiable and timely? Or, what are you seeing that works on Twitter.
It was about a year ago. Also, I am finding that Twitter is becoming a very valuable tool to get things done on short sales. I would keep that in mind when dealing with USAA.
Thank you Scott! How long ago was that?
