@evelyn sorry to hear about what transpired. I've been in similiar situations. Just escalate to OOP and to the highest levels in the short sale department. I'd also reach out to the new servicer and escalate there too... This will be about getting to the right people to fix this since it appears by your time frames this should of been closed out in time. Were you aware of the service release? I thought I had gotten a short sale closed as of 2/12/16.  Funding was completed, checks distributed, buyers got keys...everyone walked away happy since it had been a long and tedious process due to file being sold and service transferred during the final days.  Officially being transferred on 2/15/16, hence the 2/12/16 closing.  Just got email that the short sale was declined!  Called Chase and they received funds but were not able to close the file internally because the loan was service transferred before they got to it!  Unable to use Equator because message response was deactivated on file.  Contacted Chase and they "are trying to figure it out".   Has anyone had this happen to them????  All procedures were followed on my end...every requested signature, fax, etc.   Any help would be appreciated.

I tried to fax a LOA to 904-462-1925 but it didn't go through. Is that number confirmed?

The problem will be getting the new loan number from the new servicer. Often that can be delayed by 10 to 30 days. You will need to send a new TPA, too.

The borrower should of received a "good-bye" letter stating that the loan was going to be service released. They also likely will receive a welcome letter from the new servicer. Depending on many factors, the new servicer may want to start the short sale review process over due to the position of the transaction.

In the middle of a Fannie Mae value dispute with Chase as servicer I was informed that the loan was sold!  Has anyone had to deal with this situation?  Chase claims that they don't have the new investor information yet?

Christina Waymreen, I had the same problem with that number and was just told to fax it to the short sale fax # 866-220-4130. Never had a problem after that.

Good morning all.

I have been trying a full day to send an authorization letter to this number 

 NEW FAX March 2014 -  866-282-5682. It is not working anymore. Does anybody have a new number I can use?
