My basic question is, would OCWEN approve a short sale on a house that has been vacant for 9 years? It was a single family primary residence before the owners defaulted in 2007 and moved out in 2009.…Continue

I've closed a couple of Ocwen SS lately. While it's not a joy to work with them I'm not sure they are any worse than other players in the industry. They all fall WELL short in my opinion.

I have had a short sale with OCWEN on going for over 2 years!  I will never take another OCWEN file again.  I feel really bad for the homeowners.  When they say "Helping Homeowners is what they do" the hair on my neck stands up!

I hope all states follow the lead of NY.  OCWEN short sales are horrific and thier REO is not much better.  Problem is that $150 Million is not even a slap on the wrist for these folks

Kevin - NY is doing a great job. Question is where are all the other States that let this abuse continue and none of those foreclosed home owners will receive a dime!

So this is a new one,

I have 2 files with Ocwen that are FHA and no one is able to Speak with me. They are saying that only one person is assisgned and we keep leaving voicemails and of course no one has responded in almost a month. I escalted to my contacts at ocwen who says they cant help either becasue ocwen has sectioned off all FHA loans into another department.

Anyone have experience with this? Any contacts for FHA ocwen files? help!

Ocwen was just fines by the DOJ beacaue of back dating documents.   So any dated paperwork that differs would not surprise anyone.   What disgusts me is that if that were any of us we would be jailed, or license suspended.

Thom,

Thanks for posting this - I have actually started putting together some of my papers  to close out my file and one of the things that appears repeatedly is that the documentation is dated minimally one to two weeks (sometimes MORE) prior to the date stamp on the envelope (I keep both) ...

Thanks again!

Ellen
