Seller died during short sale process

The seller died without a will or assetts , the heirs want nothing to do with the property .

We have a buyer under contract , can anything be done to continue with the sale ?

I had a POA for the sale but it does not survive death

Escalate the file to see if anything can be done, but they likely will require this to go through probate at this point in order to obtain an executor of estate.
