What's going on with files that were removed from processing through Equator?

Ocwen servicing a Freddie Mac loan.  Short sale request was originally processed through Equator.  Received notice in December that file was transferred and would no longer be processed through Equator.  Ocwen acknowledged that they received the docs from Equator effective 12/27/13  (it took them 2 weeks to receive the file from Equator).  They mailed the sellers a new short sale package.  New package was submitted 1/17/2014.  Then I am told that the forms changed again and that they had to submit yet another package.  They confirm that they received all docs as of 2/13/2014.  I am informed on 2/24/2014 that the file has been submitted to the investor some time after 2/13/2014 and that the investor requested an updated BPO value from Ocwen on 2/21/2014.  Have been trying to get Ocwen to move on the updated valuation since then.  Was told on 3/3/2014 that they would order an appraisal.  Yesterday, 3/5/2014 someone in the SS department said she would send e-mail to manager to request submission of work order for the appraisal.  This morning, I received an e-mail from Equator that the short sale had been declined (reason:  "other") and that I should call to get more detail. When I called the # listed in the Equator e-mail, I was rerouted to the Ocwen customer service number. I spoke to someone in the SS department who said the SS was "in process" and that I should disregard the message from Equator.  They said that they were still waiting for the appraisal, but could not tell me whether the appraisal had even been ordered yet (2 weeks after the investor asked for updated value, they can't even tell if the order has been placed).  Has anybody else recently received "declined" notices through Equator on files that were transferred out of the Equator system months ago?

I was told by Ocwen yesterday that they were going thru a "file conversion" and it may take a couple of weeks. They also changed their phone number.  The rep I spoke to couldn't verify my authorization because of this conversion and didn't know too much about what was going on. so I will have to stay on top of them.

Their standard answer is that I had to be patient.  Really.  I submitted the short sale request to Equator at the end of November.  The negotiator was ready to send the file to the investor early December and then the file was transferred out of the Equator system effective 12/14/2013.  Almost 3 months later, no decision, and I am told that I needed to be patient.  The file has supposedly been escalated over a month ago.  Sometimes, they confirm that the file has been escalated and other times they can't confirm it. and now I am told to just ignore the Equator message that tells me that the short sale has been declined for "other" reasons.

I'm stuck in exactly the same situation and also rec'd a 'declined' message through Equator.  I called Freddie Mac direct to try and speed things along.

Were you able to get anybody at Freddie Mac to help you with this? It seems to me that Freddie Mac does not have an escalation route outside the servicer. I wish they had a help desk similar to what Fannie Mae offers. There seems to be no accountability.

Yes.  Ocwen may release the servicing to another Ocwen department which will have to process the file via email/fax. You will have to re-submit all the documents.  I'm not positive, but it might be a sign that the property will be listed on Hubzu.  You should just keep moving forward instead of making 100 phone calls for escalation because its really not an escalation issue.

Hubzu is not the issue here.  The file has already been sent to the investor for review (Ocwen does not have delegated approval authority for the file) and it was Freddie Mac that asked for the updated value.  That's all they need to make a decision.  Getting the new value is moving forward.  Hubzu is not moving forward.  It's moving backwards on a file that had already been submitted to the investor.

My file was being worked in equator as well, with a second lien with OCWEN that was worked outside of equator but same OCWEN entity that had bought GMAC. My offer was denied due to the service release to the new OCWEN entity, where both files would be worked outside of equator in a NEW department. Feb 4th was transfer, called in multiple times to verify whether file was transferred. Was only told the file had 60 days to transfer. Got a call from the customer relation manager in first week of March expressing no short sale was in place, and that a new file would need to be uploaded and that a foreclosure sale date was in place for the 12th of March. Got the new file in the next day and 2 days later received a call from that same rep, to be told that the sale date was too close to review a short sale. I escalated file through OCWEN, never received an answer, I also escalated the issue with the local Senators Constituent for an inquiry into OCWEN. Sale was postponed one week (reasons are still unknown why), then was denied for any further postponement, or review of a short sale. Lender bid at sale was 198K, the offer for short sale was at 180K. Working on a rescission with the Senator's constituent now, this will be a first. Will see how it goes. Either way, OCWEN sent my client a Making Home Affordable package dated the 24th of Feb, the client did not even receive the package until the 10th of March, after a full package had already been resent. When I asked the short sale customer rep about this, she said this is just a formality and it is required but it has no value towards postponing the sale, when directly in the package it states, "As your mortgage loan servicer, we will work with you in an effort to make your mortgage payment affordable. You will not pay any fees to take advantage of this opportunity to modify your mortgage loan payment and keep your property.” (Please see attached document). This document also stated, “Helping Homeowners is What We Do!”   Property did go to sale yesterday the 19th of March.....    any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated.
