Foreclosure sale set for June 19, 2013.  I received short sale approval from the B of A on April 15, 2013 good thru May 15, 2013. 2nd lien holder countered the approval. Received an amended approval letter from B of A on May 10, 2013, but the amended approval still had the first good thru date of May 15, 2013. I immediately emailed the negotiator to let them know we could not close in 5 days. I emailed every day for 5 days, and did not get a response until I called the customer service #. A task was opened in Equator asking if the closing was on schedule on  May 15, and I replied and  let them know that the closing was set for June 14, 2013. I spoke with the closing agent the next day, and was informed he would submit the request the next day.

Today the closing officer calls and said that he can not submit a request to extend the approval letter closing date because it is less than 14 day from the foreclosure sale date.

My question to him was "why didn't you submit the request on May 15 or May 16 more than 30 days before the sale date"  He answer was no responsive

Use social media and send a tweet! They have been very helpful for me in the past with situations like this.  When you send the initial tweet send them the property address and msg need help to extend closing! Good Luck!

Tweet a direct message to @bofa_help to call you. Also, contact the investor, or HUD if it is FHA. You can call the office of the president, you'll talk to someone faster but less likely to get action.

It's a non-delegated Fannie Mae loan, whom should I contact??

Contact the Presidential department.
