Chase picked up a loan the first week of March from Met Life. We turned in a full package the first week of March as soon as Chase assigned a loan number to the loan. A foreclosure sale date was scheduled for April 30th, which got postponed to May 14th. The bank has been telling us for 1 1/2 months that the appraisal was ordered through the VA (March 26 and again on April 10) and have never got it back. As far as I know no one ever came out to do an appraisal on the property. I have been calling the bank at least once a week for 2 months and have requested an update on the appraisal and that I have never gotten called to do one. They can't get the foreclosure postponed without the appraisal. I have called the bank several times a day and have spoken to the negotiator every day and they are saying that they have been trying to get an answer from VA on if there is an appraisal & the value and if they can postpone the foreclosure for Tuesday. VA isn't responding. My question is, "Does anyone have a contact at VA?" How can we get them to respond? Otherwise, this SS that I have been working on for over a year will foreclose. Thanks, Holly

Does anybody have any contacts for VA?
Call your Local VA Regional Office and request to speak with the Borrower's Loan Technician.
Try the page below. See if the number there helps. It also looks like Petra, (in discussion section) had the same MetLife to Chase switch with a VA sale. I hope someone will be able to help. I understand the MetLife to Chase transfer difficulties, especially regarding valuation transfers not happenening, but my client has FNMA. Good Luck Holly.
They finally postponed the foreclosure sale the day before, but I don't know specifically why. I did call the Regional VA rep and the bank numerous times with no response, but it did get postponed. So that is good news. I still have no idea when an appraisal is going to ever happen. You have got to love the business to put up with such disorganization.
