Need higher escalation ideas than Twitter and HUD.  Having a terrible time getting an approval on a BofA FHA short sale. ATP issued 1/9.  Offer meeting HUD guidelines sent 1/15 and no approval to date. I've escalated through Twitter and HUD TWICE! That gets me a call from the specialist but then nothing comes of it.  My buyer is walking and now I've only got 30 days left on the ATP.  Any other escalation ideas?? I know I can get another offer on the house but am afraid I'll have to wait another 90+ days for no approval and probably a foreclosure in the meantime.  I am soooooo pissed at BofA right now. I thought they were supposed to be "getting better"!?!  All I see is them getting worse.

Advice! I have approval at 146k, buyer with Va loan now wants BOA to make repairs requested by lender before closing, buyer raised price to 149k and requesting authorization for repairs and they be paid out of BOA funds at closing. With this new request, only 6600 difference from their original net at 146k approval. Well BOA even consider this?, We already asked for some repairs and they responded no, unless appraisal is lower than contract price, any ideas?

Yes, I'd give them a call. So many people handle the files, paper work gets shifted.

Debi, this is a common problem of missing attachments - and after "enjoying" the latest Equator changes, I expect even more problems.

I have had Freddie arms-length forms (with BofA typo's in it) and FHA arms-length. It is a long shot that BofA actually put the form out in the agent area of their website - that would be useful - you can check there. Couldn't put any form here, anyway - this won't take uploads.

Call in to the SS reps to explain your problem, you might get something faster than by telling the closing officer the same thing you said here. It could be that they "misplaced" one of these forms. Heaven forbid that they make the forms available or use the same name for the same form everywhere.

I supposed to close a short sale with BoA on Friday. Today I uploaded my HUD and they rejected it because they need a "Short Sale Affidavit" which the closer said she attached but did not.  I cannot find any reference to a Short Sale Affidavit. We have already signed/uploaded a "Short Sale Purchase Contract Addendum," a "Real Estate Licensee Certification," and a "Buyer's Acknowledgement & Disclosure" form. What is this "Short Sale Affidavit"?  If you have one can you post it ASAP?  Seller's are signing tomorrow out of state with a notary and we need it today if we hope to close on Friday.

@sandy- BRAVO! I wish more vets could get homes in this market! Especially great that you honored the sellers wishes, good people in this deal.

@ Patricia- it was not- it did go through Service link. I submitted with an offer and they only did an exterior BPO. Seller is a Vet and he wanted a Vet to get the house. The buyer had been looking for 8 months to get a home where someone would accept his VA loan.  All around this is going to be great for everyone.

Congratulations Sandy! Wow only three weeks, great news. Hoping they all start to be going that smooth.

Miracles do happen! I just got an approval on a file I submitted only 3 weeks ago! I asked the negotiator if this was an April Fools joke?  No joke!

Well....looks like you are almost there....Congratulations! I think they should call them Long Sales...nothing short about them..lol...I've got one that started last year...went through 3 Buyers...hoping for an approval soon...
