To beat Greentree, call their corporate office in Minnesota, - 651/293-3400, and, ask for the Operations Manager for the state in which your short sale property is located.  Get their contact info., phone number and e-mail, and things get done!!!!  We contacted the guy for Florida and had an approval letter less than 24 hours later!!!

Anyone know who to contact at GreenTree for NY? I have a nightmare file with them scheduled for auction in 2 days. Cash offer on the table they won't even address. HELP!!!
Penny, did you try calling that corporate number, 651/293-3400?
Do you have a negotiator or happen to know your negotiator's supervisor's name?
The few we have done for Greentree wre in FLorida and Virginia, I can get you contacts there and you can try asking them for NY contacts? If you want this, contact me at [email protected]
Thanks for the tip. Going to do that this week!
Calling in the morning - need TX Contact - what a wreck, about to loose this deal if I don't get it thru - we are on it! Thanks!
I need help with a short sale in Orange County, CA. The original loan was with B of A, now transferred to Green Tree. The loan was a purchase money 2nd. Green Tree is saying they will only settle for 5.00% of the original principal balance. In California there is no deficiency on purchase money seconds, yet Green Tree won't budge. They want 5%, or they'll "send it to collections."
Any advice?
Thanks!
Valerie, how far off are you on the numbers, LOTS of ways to work this one.....
The amount of the 2nd is $148,319. They want 30% of the Purchase Price which equals $46,000. I explained that asking for 5% of the purchase price makes no sense, they should ask for 5% of the 2nd ($148,319 X 5% - $7,416.). Their answer - that is their guideline, no flexibility.

Ideas? Thanks.
