Here are the details:

Short sale initiated on JANUARY 24 with offer via fax with all docs (hardship letter, listing agreement, financial, etc)

Called to follow up JANUARY 28. Short sale department said "Oooops sorry the modification department pulled this one in to their cue, we will have to get it back. Please call back in 2 days to follow up". File WAS faxed to short sale fax number and clearly says SHORT SALE INITIATION on fax cover sheet.

Called to follow up JANUARY 31. Short sale department said "great we've got the file" The gal then confirmed that she had all docs.. hardship letter, listing agreement, etc, etc, etc. Said that she would email to have it assigned to a processor and for me to follow up in a few days.

Called to follow up FEBRUARY 5. Short sale department said "I will send an email to have the processor assigned". I explained to her that I have heard this story already and to please do everything she can to expedite. Again, said to call back in a few days.

Called to follow up FEBRUARY 11. Still no processor!!!! Again confirmed they had all docs, etc, etc, etc... going to be assigned etc etc.

Called to follow up FEBRUARY 13. No processor and NOW they say that they do not have a listing agreement or hardship letter. 2 documents that they said they already had. and again... no processor assigned.

Just called again TODAY. Was told that they received the listing agreement on FEBRUARY 13 and the hardship letter on JANUARY 24 (the same hardship letter that I was told on the 13th that they did not have but now being told it was scanned in to the system on the 24th) The gal I spoke with said the same thing everyone else says "Sending email to assign processor... etc" She then said that had it not gotten sent to the modification department in the first place then it would have been assigned by now. Excuse me? I faxed it to the SHORT SALE department and requested the offer be reviewed for SHORT SALE. How is that my fault?

Anyway, anyone have any suggestions as to how to get this to move? Chase used to be the best and are now proving to be the worst. On top of everything else... I have a foreclosure sale date as well :-)

Any help would be appreciated!

Errin;

I've acquired 3 Chase short sale approvals within the last 30 days.

I had to escalate every one of them by calling in, asking for the escalation department and then articulately explaining the issues.

Those 3 files were resolved and approved within 48 hours.

By the way, Chase uses Equator now so stop faxing your short sale packages to them and expecting that to work now.

Good luck.

The file could not be initiated through Equator. Trust me that would have been the way I went if it were possible. I was told that it could not be initiated via Equator only would be transferred there AFTER processor was assigned.

Thanks for the info.
