Suzanne--I have one now with them.  Looks like they are not going to allow the seller to go HAFA.  Making additional demands, saying there is no way they are going to accept what the 1st will allow and refusing to put anything in writing.  They seem to behave like collectors instead of short sale negotiators.  How did yours go?

How did that short sale work out with them? I notice this post is from 2010 and I am a bit late but I am working with them now and they are demanding 90% to be paid in full to release the lien. California short sale.

Hi Isaac,
They accepted what the 1st was going to give them. I think it was either $3k or $6k. The short sale approval letter stated that they could go back after them but since it was a CA short sale my sellers are protected by the CA civil code. We closed.

I attached the CA civil code to the signed approval letter for mine and their records.

I am new at this site so I am hoping that everyone that posted here can see this. I have a short sale with Franklin Credit right now and have been negotiating with them for a couple of months. The first which is well's fargo has offered them 3,000 and now the owner has offered them 3,000 and a promissary  note of 16,000.  They keep telling us it is being reviewed. Has anyone had one approved and if so what do I need to do. We are supposed to close on December 14, 2012. I would appreciate any help you can give me. This is a VA loan for the first.

We don't seem to have a lender group for Franklin Credit. If you their contact info and a short sale application for them please send it to me at [email protected] and I'll start a group or you can start one yourself.

Just click on the "lender info" tab and again click on "ADD".
