Hello,

I have just received an Approval Notice on a short sale with Wells Fargo.  After receiving the Approval Notice and closing date I received a new task asking for me to upload the Recording Info Sheet.

This is my first short sale with Wells Fargo and I have never been asked to submit a Recording Info Sheet.  Can someone please tell me what a Recording Info Sheet is?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Kelly, I hear you. I've done SS for Wells Fargo before and this is the first time I have been asked for the same and I have no idea what this is. Needless to say, my negoitator a Lauren Freeman, has been most unhelpful and took over 5 months too approve the sale. Buyer has chosen to walk and my seller is very frustrated with Wells Fargo. Frankly, I can't deal with them either. I have been working these transaction for the last 7 yrs and I hate Wells Fargo.

I had exactly this same issue/question. I called in to the general short sale line and they told me they are asking for the short sale approval letter signed by the seller. Think they could call it something clearer?

Thank you both!  I did figure out that they wanted the last page of the approval notice signed by the Seller and Settlement Agent.  It is funny that they can't just say we need the approval letter signed now, instead of at closing.

Thanks again!

Kelly

I was told to upload a blank sheet of paper, that they no longer require a document...

I recently got the same thing as Daryl - had a bit of a knock-down drag-out because whenever someone goes against the system w/o proof, I'm the one who gets burnt, so I don't just take it for fact until I have it documented 10 ways that the bank told me to do it. And, yes, it is supposedly just an irrelevant task that you'd better do or they may kill the deal.

Below is the notice I just received today on my WF short sale from the negotiator:

You are going to receive a confirm closing task in Equator. Please enter
12/21/12. This is how long the approval will be good thru, not necessarily the
closing date. The approval has been emailed to you outside of Equator. You will
also be getting a "Receive Recording Info Sheet". This information is no longer
required. With the approval letter I sent you, I have attached a document to
complete the task.
Regards, Michael

Attached is a copy of the "Recording info sheet" I received.
