Midland is telling my agent that the client has to pay a per diem rather than issuing us an extension. I've had banks issue per diems before but that was after issuing about 3 or 4 extension letters first.

Has anyone dealt with this Midland Mortgage scenario?

I would negotiate hard and state if they want to settle they will provide a free 14 day extension. Some lenders will like to capture revenue anyway they can and this is yet another example on the Sheep.
