Lat time I closed a SS with WFB and Chase was 2010. Do we HAVE to go through Equator to do this? What is the norm?

@Pattilynn - mine was an investment property so don't give up, good luck :)

@Jimena - you have just renewed my faith...ty :)

Yes, the letter states that 'With the exception of a Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternative (HAFA) closing, nothing in this Demand Statement or in the release of the mortgage shall waive the right to seek a deficiency under the loan docs...etc"

This was a second home. So that's it, I guess.

@Pattilynn - mine was not a Fannie, Freddie or FHA, just a regular investor.

To both Brian and Jimena - what type of loan were the ones you closed? Fannie, Freddie or FHA?

I JUST had a deficiency waived approval with them last week (orig wachovia though... might be different) non owner... I think it is HAFA though... so that explains it.

Thank you Jimena :) Will do...not sure if it will work on non-Fannie, Freddie or FHA but will try.
