Certificate of Discharge of Property from Federal Tax Lien (Publication 783).  I've never had to complete one, but have heard from other brokers that it works.  May take up to 30 days.

Does anyone have IRS contacts for southern california, every time i call i go right to voice mail and haven't gotten a call back.  Please help!

Hi Rob. How did you make out with releasing the tax lien from the property. I just took a listing and the seller just informed me that they placed a lien againist them a few months back.

Mike - Your sellers should know who their IRS agent is... normally.  Contact them.

hey jonathan...

30-45 days, no other way, they MAY expedite it if seller goes to the local office in person or even maybe Raleigh office, but doubt, ....have them ask what stage its in, and where its being processed.
