Hi All, After a really, really bad equator experience with WF, I went back to faxing my short sale packs to WF.  One of my senior management contacts at WFadvised me that their equator processing team is not up to speed.  I think that I'll wait until they force me to use equator for WF short sale files.  If all of you remember, the learning curve for BofA was fairly significant...but they now have their wquator act together.  Good luck!.

@James

Equator for Wells is very different than Equator for BofA.  Once you upload documents you can no longer see them - they remove them from the file or it's just blocked for us not to see.  Also, I initiated mine without a contract and about 2 weeks later I was told to upload contract or file would be closed.  Luckily I received 2 offers that day and uploaded the best offer.

It's certainly not as seemless as BofA.

Best of luck,

Talked to Wells Fargo yesterday for new short sale listing since it has been a long while I did a WF SS.  They told me all files have to go through Equator and I could initiate it at any time, even without a purchase contract. Seller would be evaluated for HAFA and BPO would be requested upon initiation. They also told me they would close the file if I did not get a contract quickly but did not give me a time frame. My question to the SS Superstars is should I intiatie the file in Equator when getting the listing or should I wait for a contract?  Thanks All for your response in advance.

@ Kevin - Greenville, SC - Thank you so much for the info.  Michelle got it to her team and they are actually moving in Equator and even called me. Wow!  I'll let you know what happens.  Really love you right now ; )))

Kevin, Yes I sent the offer in on January 4th they completed the borrower review on January 10th and sent letter on Jan 11th they couldn't help.  Now it has gotten nowhere.

Kim,  Yes, I would go ahead an initiate in Equator.  Do you have an offer?  All FHA Loan are required to be reviewed for retention prior to acceptance in the PFS Program.

@ Kevin - It's an FHA SS, yet the thing is I can't seem to get it out of Home Preservation to Loss Mitigation. I don't know who to escalate it to, can you help. Talked to the appraiser yesterday and he said he filed it with Core Logic last week.  Should I just open a file in Equator so someone really looks at it?
