Aurora must just be in the business of collecting fees and has no interest in closing a shortsale , like others I have the same problem since June 2010 , put in an offer and never herad back from Aurora untill seller got denial letter . You can never talk to someone , just leave messages with " Relationship Managers " .

Thanks Thom.  As a follow-up to mine, on Sunday evening I checked their "Check foreclosure alternative option" search on the loan on myauroraloan.com.  It showed both properties going to a trustee sale- 1 on Wed and the other a few weeks ater.  I was floored, as seller had spoken to Aurora rep last week who confirmed no date has been set. As rep had never called me back, and I couldn't get through- I spent the night worrying over this, as I had not seen it advertised.  The seller was able to get through to the rep in a.m. who confirmed no trustee sale date set and it went to underwriting.

In the afternoon the rep did call me back.  As luck would have it I was in a presentation.  She gave me a time to call her back and from 430-630 PM.  I was excited!   Unfortunately, I again could not get through as all I got was an automated message, when i called repeatedy, that their system was temporarily down and they couldn't pull up account info- then just disconnected.

I have 2 full price contracts, and 2 agents beating me up on what the status is.  As I have not been able to get through and have a voice conversation with the rep- it has made this process very very hard.

I have serious doubts about taking another Aurora short sale again, unless communication improves and they start corresponding in writing.

Folks -  Just a follow-up on my short sale.  I received a call today from an Exec at Aurora - he read my plight and called to get some additional details.  Then, he got it assigned to an underwriter.  I'm hoping to get an approval soon.  Thanks all, Aurora is following thsi site and taking action on transactions where it is taking far too long or just needs some special attention.  I'll be back to update again.

Best wishes everyone and much success in 2012.

Does anyone have a name, number, or address of someone who can make a call on keeping a file in the HAFA program?

I reached the Exec. Mgr. and she told me that they had pulled the file out of HAFA due to insufficient offer.

I reminded her that i sent a counter giving the FULL PRICE. She said they never received it. I told her that I had called twice every day all last week and NEVER got a return call from my Relationship Manager Chelize.  If they had told me they never got the fax ... i could have resent it.

WHO THE HELL ARE THESE PEOPLE AND HOW DO THEY HOLD A JOB!

they dont want a full price offer and close this darn deal that has been going on for 16 months!!!! REALLY????? This is what my job entails.  I am ready to quit and become a fry cook at Jack in the Box

Thanks Cami- I just left a message with their executive committee- i'll let you all know if it does anything.  This is my second round with Aurora on the same properties.  I got them offers on 2 properties that exceeded what they told me they needed to net.  They will only contact the seller and not me- even with authorization on file.  On Tues the rep promised seller she would call me (after calling him and not me).  The rep never calls me or takes my calls or returns my voice mails.  Nothing is sent in writing.  I have been calling all afternoon and not only can I not get a person when it goes to the voicemail it just disconnects so I cannot even leave a message.  I've never seen anything like it!

The only thing I have is a number to their Executive Office.  You probably have it, but just for kicks - 866-420-3167.  Good Luck!

Ok Superstars - I need your help......

I have a file I've been dealing with since the beginning of September - Aurora is the first and Citi is the 2nd.  I submitted the file with everything Aurora requested of the borrower including the cash offer.  This is not HAFA.

The file was assigned to a "Relationship Manager" at Aurora in November (I won't use her name here).  They have asked for another 4506T, over and over again and also again today.  They admit they have it - exactly the way they wanted it each time - but they continue to change which boxes they want checked, and what years they want to include.  Now, the borrower's bank statements are out of date (no surprise) and we need to send updated statements- no big deal but I think these requests are a delay tactic.

Here's the issue and thus the reason I need your help.  The borrower became terminally ill immediately after child-birth and the husband, who is not on the loan, is trying to "do the right thing" and dispose of the property properly.  They have had to move-in with relatives in another state to provide 24 hour care for the borrower.  They even have someone staying in the property to maintain it until it's sold !  The husband is dealing with a terminal wife and a new baby.

Meanwhile, the 2nd, Citi, issued an approval 45 days ago which is now expired.  Citi is patiently working with us through the Aurora's delays.

My request is for y'all is this - does anyone have someone at a higher level I could call to get this one escalated ?

The only buyer is getting ready to walk.  I just really want to help these folks in their time of need.

Thoughts ???
