Death & Short Sale

I was just referred a widow whose husband died intestate here in Texas, a community property state. She is not on the mortgage and needs to short sell but AHMSI (sigh...) won't talk to her since she isn't on the mortgage. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation?

oooooo - love your last line! You know, I hadn't really thought about that but you are right - would her credit get dinged? Hmmm, I'll try to get some legal opinions. Thanks!
