I usually post about my woes with these lenders so I thought I'd take a moment to give some props to HSBC.  This is an FHA short sale, and within days of submitting the package they called me to see if the appraiser had contacted me yet. Then, when I called in to check on the BPO they told me to go ahead and lower the price. The next week they actually called me to see how things were going---ummm, hello?  She seriously said, "Okay, well good luck with marketing the property.  And we'll just keep checking in regularly to see if you've had any showings or secured an offer."  Compared to my last experience with these people (which ended in foreclosure and an OCC complaint)  I felt like I'd entered the Twilight Zone!
