My team has messed around with Equator for hours each day inputting our Bank of America short sales.  We have uploaded a few of them up to four times.  Here is the rejection email we get- when we call BOFA to ask WHY, they DON'T KNOW!!  They tell us to keep re-entering everything.  Does anyone have a clue?

I was told it is because one of the documents is incorrect. On one of mine the buyer proof of funds was scanned the wrong way (sideways).
I am beginning to think these online reps are from another country. When you email them they don't have correct English and lack a general understanding of what we are trying to complete. I have 14 files and just rescanned some of the docs and that seemed to work.
Hi Wendy,

I called the other day and was told I had to speak to someone who acutally could access Equator and could talk to me about it. They was the first time for that. Truly finding someone who really knows what is going on is the trick!

I have had ones cancelled when the seller did not setup their account as required or did not input the docs they were looking for.

Don't know if that helps or not.

Hi Susan- I was on the phone with an Equator rep - hours actually! Clueless....

We'll try that, Lori. A guessing game, how fun!

Outsourcing is happening. It is the same model from the REO business. There is nothing in HAMP addressing this issue.
I think you folks all must have missed the comments re Equator that I posted a couple weeks ago. If you access support on the Equator chat line on their website, you are likely to get somebody who can provide answers. I hooked up with somebody in just about 2 minutes. I was told that Equator simply provides the software for the system that BofA is using. They DO NOT provide anything else! I was also told that BofA has not yet trained their people adequately on how to use it. Duh!
Thanks, Bob!! Great hint!

UPDATE TO ALL: Called Equator Tech support. They said to check our photo jpg, which is required to be uploaded with each short sale submission. We were using a jpg of a plat, since this is a lot, and we thought it would be more helpful than a photo of a tree. LOL- they said it might want an actual photograph, they were not sure. So we've uploaded a photo of some trees. We'll see if we get the same rejection tomorrow. The SAD THING IS: They still do not know why the file is being rejected for reason: OTHER!
WHERE IS THE CHATLINE?
the system has kicked my seller out three times
Help!

I recieved a similar one, along with a counter offer. It turned out that the counter was valid, and the rejection was an accident... did the system generate a counter?
Wendy,
Here's a good one... They actually foreclosed on one of mine. Then, sent a counter offer 2 weeks later!!! Huh? Then, 2 weeks after that they sent an email closing the file. Okay, this is obviously a case of the left and right hands not knowing what each other are doing.
As to your specific case, is it possible that the Seller hasn't input what they need to input?
My other advice would be to call 866-677-2516 and ask for short sale support (they are the Equator/BofA people).
Wendy,
If you type Live Chat
In the help Search it will take you to a Live chat icon below and you click it there and voila.

This Equator Service is the worst pain ...........

This BOA doesn't have a clue how to do short sales, even when we try to please with all the stupidities what they ask.
