I still have not been assigned a negotiator. My team and I call twice a week and the status remains almost the same.

I did have a chance to speak with a nice representative and she told me that I didn't have to go trough REO Trans.

My file got hung up when a BPO was requested, but never completed. I waited and waited for the results from that initial BPO to no avail.

So I requested an escalation, my escrow company requested an escalation and I was told that whenever escalations are requested back to back, that starts the process all over again.

Hopefully I will get my 1st negotiator this month. The buyers are still hanging on, but are getting frustrated.

It still may be Spring before this thing is completed.

Yep, you're confirming what everybody else's experience with B of A is - they're terrible. Poor training, poor systems, poor process, and poor oversight (no oversight?)!
"....requested an escalation and I was told that whenever escalations are requested back to back, that starts the process all over again." I couldnt help but giggle on this. BofA is so freaking dumb!
I know. I was livid when they told me that. I demanded that they use the original escalation request and not the ones thereafter.

This is the way it is. Welcome to the club. You just have to get tenacity and persistence to join you and you will have a great team.
Absolutely. I'm sure it will work out....by SPRING!! LOL!

I have been assigned a negotiator. One would think that would be a good thing however although her name,Shari Brown, is on the e-mail (where I was supposed to e-mail the requested FHA specific docs) she does not answer her phone nor e-mail requests for more information. The general SS customer service rep did look in the notes and say that the docs were received and uploaded. The appraiser went out at the first of December so that is out of the way (FHA requires an appraisal not a BPO). When I login to REOtrans/Equator the system says Generic Negotiator so I am thinking that Shari Brown is just code for Generic hole in the universe where they shuffle all of the stuff they do not want to deal with while they are getting their kicks on Route 66. By the way there is only one loan, BofA.
My 2nd is with BOA. I have had 3 negotiators assigned in the past month and the last one cancelling the short sale! He said the buyer walked. However, that was the 1st buyer from October who walked not the new buyer from November. Now, they have escalated my file but we're back to phase 1. In the meantime, the 1st with Wells Fargo should be approved in a couple of weeks. i'm trying to keep it together but BOA is screwing it all up!
I learned a trick to getting someone to answer the phone at BofA customer service without endless minutes in routing the call. My clients loan # ends with (-3) so #########-3. The system does not understand the 3 so by entering the whole number including the 3 the automated voice does not recognize the number and says "Looks like we will have to get someone to help you". Ya think?
I have been in this latest deal for 11 months now. 8 negotiators.

I finally received an email from a negotiator wanting some updated financials (not the first time may i say along with about 6 BPOs, 3 in the last month.)
and received an email answer straight away to my email. Does this mean i am close? who knows
HERE'S THE DEAL WITH ESCALATIONS! Do not request them!.
I have much experience with BOA and this is the their process...They give themselves and you a specific timeframe they will have each process completed and when that time comes and goes and nothing has been done they offer the escalation to buy another 10 business days as a cop out.
So to say that one escalation effected another is their way of telling you that both you and your title company are bothering them so now you wait longer.
Here's what happens. Each negotiator has about 300 files on their desk and at which point they get to yours is perfectly random if ever before your buyer bails. Now if they pick up your file and it has a 10 business day escalation in effect then your file isn't considered behind and gets tossed back to the bottom of the pile.
The key is NEVER initiate an escalation! Escalations are automatic delays. Keep the file late and it will get attention sooner. Call in during an escalation period and will always get the same response.."we still have x-amount of business days to complete this task". Then the escalation comes and goes. Initiating another will get you the same response.
