Are homes values still on the rise ? Volatile Housing Market Ahead ?

A recent report by REDFIN RESEARCH showed that “In August, 26.4 percent of active listings had their prices lowered, the highest in four years” is this a sign of the housing market slowing if not reversing? Daily I see Buyer interest as still strong…

Two Short Sales Approved in the same week...Yea!

First I must say, I am glad to be part of the Short Sale Superstars site.

I am currently working with two first-time homebuyers. Both of them have offers in on short sales.  One was with B of A and just finally got approved today (over 5 months...gee wez), the other one was with Wells Fargo who move much faster (less than 3 months). Not very often I get that good of news in the same week. I currently have one short sale listing in Fullerton, CA and their loan is also with B of A. …

What Makes a GOOD agent GREAT?

Whether you are an agent that mainly focuses on supporting buyers, sellers or both you have to do the best job that you can for whoever your clients may be.  Are you working with a “good” agent or are you working with a “great” agent?

What makes a “Good” agent?

Five Buyer's Agent Tips To Ensure Short Sale Approval

Getting a short sale approved is no easy task. Buyers can, and do, walk away if they feel the transaction is taking too long. Mortgage insurance companies frequently demand unreasonably high contributions from the seller, thus killing the deal. Servicing rights can be transferred to a new lender mid- transaction. The foreclosure auction occurs despite the lender repeatedly…

What do you want from your agent?

There have been some recent numbers and percentages being released concerning different polls and surveys the National Association of Realtors has conducted.  These numbers work to paint a solid picture of what buyers really do care about in terms of their agent and how they are represented.

From the start you can say with certainty that people are not concerned about how…

It is OK to Walk Away…

In today’s real estate landscape buyers are often hesitant and reluctant to really make that final decision.  A lot of times they get pressured into a decision.  Sure they may find a house that they really like and are kind of on the fence about it.  Then they start to feel pressure from what their family thinks, what their parents think, what their friends think and worst of all…

2015...

We have all seen Back to the Future Part II and all know that in 2015 we are supposed to have all these great advancements and technology…The truth is we already have most of the things they came up with in that movie.  Everything except for the ever elusive flying car…but I also know that we are getting close on that too…But what about real estate…

HARP 2.0: What it is; What it isn’t

The Obama Administration announced a series of changes to the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) early this week!

The new HARP is by no means a game changer, here’s essentially what we’ve had to say about the revamped government mortgage refinancing program:

HARP 2.0, as the media has started to refer to it, has some merit, but it’s scope is…

To Do or Not To Do an Open House…That is the Question

One of the many ways Realtors today try to market and expose their listings is to schedule and set up an Open House for the property.  This is something that has been done for a long time now and can sometimes gain a few inquiries.

Open houses these days seem to have gotten a bit blah.  Obviously the point of the event is to show off a house that…

How can I land a property for my buyers if the property goes to Trustee Sale??

HELP!!!!

My clients have been waiting on a BofA short sale for 5 months.  This is the ONLY house they want to buy - it's perfect for their huge family and horses.  The sellers were cooperating for the first few months but then suffered a family tragedy and went MIA.

Now, BofA has no choice but to foreclose.

My clients are DEVASTATED at the thought of not closing on the property.  Has anyone had success in getting a bank to sell to the short…

Home Buyers Tax Credit most likely will get extended to September

Then Senate is poised to approve the ammendment and it will have to get thru the house.

I know all my short sale buyers and sellers are hoping it goes thru! I'm sure yours are too!

If passed buyers will have until Sept 30 to close escrow in order to meet the tax credit qualifications.
