I'm in the process of selling a condo and found out at the last minute there was a lien from Citibank on the title for a equity line the other two owners knew nothing about. The person tied to the loan declared bankruptcy and was removed from the title, but the lien only in his name apparently stayed. I called Citibank, but they won't discuss the loan with me because the person that declared bankruptcy has loan authorization. that person can't be found.
