Trend? Fannie Mae consistently requesting 45% over appraised values

Is anyone else noticing this? We are now on our fifth property where Fannie Mae is requesting about 45% more than the market value of the short sale home.

At first I thought it was a fluke, but now it is turning into a regular occurrence.

Even though this value will not hold up under an FHA or an FHA203k appraisal and there will be months and months of time lost while we go round and round the merry-go-round, Fannie Mae continues to give us these unsaleable counters.



2nd lien sold by Chase while short sale approval in place

We have a Chase approval for a second lien that was good til 9/15, but Chase took so long on the first, that we needed an extension.

I have been working on this extension since the beginning of September. I couldn't get any information from anyone and I finally found out why last week.  Chase had our short sale approval for the second lien good until 9/15 BUT…


Law Enforcement Gang Unit member

Advice anyone?

This law enforcement officer with the gang unit had his address exposed, and now gang members drive up and down his street daily. He and his family moved. The neighbors are highly upset to have this situation endangering their families...they've called city officials, but no one knows what to do.

The house needs short sold - but how do you let gang members know their target doesn't live there anymore?

And who would be willing to buy this home, knowing it…
